How is the budget created at the Township of Esquimalt? How can residents and businesses be involved?

You're invited to an information session that will help explain how property taxes are calculated and how the budget is created. 

Our goal is to increase awareness and understanding among taxpayers about the budget and taxation processes as well the Township financial operations.

We want to ensure our residents and businesses know how they can be involved with budget process and tell us where we should prioritize our spending.

We also want to chat about how the budget impacts property taxes, how you can reduce your property taxes and what factors, other than the Township budget, affect your taxes.

  • assessments and how they impact the taxes you pay
  • how property taxes are calculated and options for tax relief
