Mayor's Golf Tournament 2010

Esquimalt’s summer tradition, The Mayor’s Golf Tourney, returned to Gorge Vale Golf Course for another successful year.

In all, more than $11,000 was raised for Esquimalt Parks and Recreation programs. The funds will go toward new equipment for accessible play and senior’s fitness.  With 96 people participating in the annual tournament and the dinner and silent auction, Esquimalt Mayor Barb Desjardins rated the tournament a winner.

“The event was a huge success because of the generosity of our sponsors, the golfers, and the great venue,” said Mayor Desjardins. “Thanks to everyone involved -- I look forward to next year.”
