Aquafit Class Descriptions
Shallow — Great for all levels - experience a mix of cardio and strength that is sure to get you energized!
Cardio Conditioning — Designed for those 60 plus that are looking for an enjoyable and motivating workout. Set to the music of the good old days, the emphasis is on improving endurance, strength and mobility.
Foundations Plus — If you like our Foundations class but need a bit more of a challenge, try foundations plus. Based on the same principles of Foundations this range of motion class adds more cardio and strength to the traditional Foundations program.
Circuit Fit — Energetic and dynamic - the class takes place in the Lifestyle Pool. Participants are lead by an instructor through stations. Class is adaptable for a variety of levels but has some higher ipact activities.
Abs Blaster — Spend an extra 15 minutes after your class to do an intense abs workout. The instructor will take participants through a range of abdominal exercises designed to gain and retain core strength.
Deep — Suspend yourself in the deep water for this cardiovascular workout! Strength exercises are done in the shallow water at the end of class without any rebounding exercises to ensure joint impact is minimize at all times.
Foundations —If you have arthritis, regular exercise can relieve pain and stiffness; increase flexibility and improve balance; increase strength and stamina; help you relax and sleep better. Range of Motion is a good way to keep yourself moving in a welcoming environment.
Ultimate Cardio —Mix up your regime with this combination of shallow and deep fit, and plenty of traveling in between to have you feeling a new level of intensity in the water!
Core & Balance — Spend an extra 15 minutes after your class to work on your core strength and balance. The instructor will take participants through a range of core strengthening exercises that will address balance issues.
Extended Stretch — Spend an extra 15 minutes after your class to enjoy a luxurious stretch. The instructor will take participants through 15 minutes of deep, relaxing stretches to end the day right.
