Learn to treat a variety of conditions as a first responder including land spinals, head injuries, respiratory disorders, simple fractures, bleeding and shock. This course provides comprehensive training covering all aspects of first aid and CPR. Step 3: National Lifeguard Full Course The final stage in becoming a Lifeguard. Included are: scanning, teamwork, hand signals, and basic pool chemistry and filtration. BECOME A SWIM INSTRUCTOR
Step 1: Assistant Water Safety Instructor This course is a prerequisite to the Red Cross WSI course and covers the foundation of instructional skills including teaching methods, learning styles, physical principles, progressions, communication, safety supervision, and feedback. 100% participation is required. This course further develops instructional ability by focusing on how to apply the information learned in the AWSI Course to effectively plan and teach the Red Cross Swim Programs. Candidates apply their teaching skills and knowledge during 12 hours of practical teaching experience. BECOME A WATERFIT INSTRUCTOR: Step 1: Fitness Theory This course will provide students with the fundamentals of exercise science. Course content includes: human anatomy and physiology, movements mechanics, basic nutrition, training principles and program design for varied populations. Step 2: WaterFit Module WaterFit Instructors are in high demand! This course prepares you to teach safe, quality waterfit classes. Principles of water exercise, exercise selection, technique, class design, injury prevention, and adaption to special populations are covered.
