The Engineering and Public Works Department is working with the Accessibility Awareness Committee to improve accessibility within municipal facilities and the municipality. More

A survey was sent to Esquimalt residents in February 2008 identify accessibility priorities. Some of the areas that were addressed in the survey were:

• Signals at crosswalks
• Sidewalk ramps at crosswalks
• Designated parking spots
• Municipal signage
