Provincial Initiatives
The Province of British Columbia and various private companies are currently offering rebates and incentives for residents in BC.
BC Hydro has coupons, rebates, and incentive programs available to residents and businesses throughout the province.
- Do you have an old fridge in your garage that you are not using? BC Hydro will pick-up your old fridge and recycle it, with their Fridge Buy Back Program, and hand you a cheque before they leave!

LiveSmart BC: Efficiency Incentive Program The Province has extended provincial incentives for the popular LiveSmart BC: Efficiency Incentive Program for participants entering the program as of April 1, 2010. You can join your neighbours across B.C. who are saving money and reducing energy use by accessing these incentives.
The Scrap-It Program is working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve air quality by getting older vehicles off the road. The Program offers qualifying vehicle owners incentives up to $2,250 to scrap their older vehicle. The incentive values are based on the greenhouse gas reduction that occurs, when an old vehicle is scrapped and the incentive is used for a replacement.
SolarBC is working to ensure that solar hot water is an accessible and affordable consumer choice for heating hot water in the home. SolarBC Registered Installers will provide households with a $2,000 discount at the point of sale of a solar hot water system and can also help to take advantage of the Provincial LiveSmart BC incentive.
