Victoria Curling Classic at Archie Browning Sports Centre
Archie Browning Sports Centre will play host to the Victoria Curling Classic March 25 – 28, 2010. The event is part of the Asham World Curling Tour and will feature 20 top world men’s teams in the main draw and five of Canada’s top women’s teams in a mini tour event. Teams will be competing for a total purse of $99,000.
This is the fifth year the event has been held in Greater Victoria and the first time it has been held at Archie Browning Sports Centre in Esquimalt.
In the men’s draw, competitors include Glenn Howard, Kevin Martin, Wayne Middaugh, Randy Ferbey, Brad Gushue and Jeff Stoughton. In addition, both Team USA and Team China will be competing.
On the women’s side, Jennifer Jones, Cheryl Bernard, Shannon Kliebrink and Stefanie Lawton are all scheduled to compete.
The sports centre is introducing the Fan’s Lounge for the event, where live entertainment and great food and beverages will be available.
